Closing Remarks of the 17th Annual Congress of Japan Robotic Surgery Society

The 17th Annual Congress of Japan Robotic Surgery Society concluded successfully with the participation of more than 1,550 attendees.
We sincerely thank you for your support.

The 17th Annual Congress of Japan Robotic Surgery Society, held on March 6 (Fri) and 7 (Sat), 2025 at Light Cube Utsunomiya in Utsunomiya, Tochigi Prefecture, concluded successfully. First of all, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone from various specialties and professions who attended, as well as to the sponsoring companies for their generous support.
The theme of this congress was "Embracing the Evolution and True Value of Robotics." Since the first domestically developed surgical support robot appeared in 2020, the development of additional robotic systems has progressed both in Japan and overseas, and the number of available platforms has continued to grow, creating an increasingly competitive landscape. As robotics in medicine continues to evolve, surgeons must fully understand the characteristics of each platform in order to maximize its true value. We believe this congress provided a valuable opportunity for cross-disciplinary discussion from precisely that perspective.

In addition, a total of 654 presentations were delivered, and lively discussion and exchange of opinions took place throughout the meeting. There may have been some shortcomings in our operations during the congress, and we would appreciate your kind understanding.
We conclude this message by wishing everyone continued good health and success, and by expressing our hope for the further growth and development of the society.
